Our Fall Wine Tasting & Event benefiting Johns Hopkins Children's Center we held on October 1st was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone who supported, donated, and bought tickets to our event!
It was a great day, and the rainy weather was kind enough to hold out for us for the event. The day consisted of a wide variety of things to do including wine tastings, shopping the vendor fair, listening to live music provided by Greg Shinn, indulging in the food trucks, and bidding on great silent auction items.
One busy area was the Envisicore sponsored "Closest To The Pin" contest where participants took turns chipping balls for charity to see who could get the closest shot to the pin marker. Crowds gathered and the pressure was on as everyone gave it their best effort. We were amazed at the participation and competitiveness of everyone who participated, and we certainly thank them for their donations. We will definitely return with this event next year but will go even bigger to make sure we raise as much money as we can for the Children's Center!
Our day was fulfilled with the reason we were doing event when our special guest family took center stage to talk about their story and how Johns Hopkins Children's Center saved their child's life. Mom Lisa with her three children, Liam, Mica, and Iaan were the highlight of the event and we appreciate them so much for telling their compelling story. You could tell that everyone was deeply engaged in Lisa's story as eyes teared up hearing everything that her and her children went through. While no one wants to face the threat of something ever happening to the children, the fact that such a great organization like Johns Hopkins is there to help provides hope and comfort to families dealing with the tough situations they are facing. Thanks to Lisa sharing her store and we know everyone truly understood the reason why we were there that day.
Congratulations to all of the winners of the day, whether it was a raffle, golf, or silent auction bid. The true winners will be the children as 100% of all money collected for the contests will be donated to the Children's Center!
Lastly, we want to thank Mt. Felix Winery for donating their venue for the day, Greg Shinn for providing his services for free, Envy Marketplace for donating all of the proceeds made that day, the other vendors for all of their donations and auction items, the food trucks for assisting with raffle prizes, and all of the volunteers for donating their time and services for the day. We could have never pulled this event off without everyone's support and pulling together, so THANK YOU!
See everyone next year for an even bigger and better event!
